Your account portal is your home base for managing everything in WebNesting. From here, you can update your personal information, view all your websites, check your usage, pay your bills, and secure your account.
The Tabs
Your account portal is organized into five tabs. Here's what each one does.
Profile
This is where your personal information lives. You can view and update:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
My Websites
All your websites are listed here in one place. You can:
- See each site's name and web address.
- Open a site's admin dashboard.
- Visit your live site.
- Create new websites.
Usage
See how much of your resources you're using. This tab shows charts and details about your activity across all your sites.
Billing
View your invoices and payments. Each month, you'll see a summary of what you owe and what you've paid.
Account Security
Keep your account safe with:
- Password changes -- Update your password at any time from this tab.
- Two-factor authentication -- Adds an extra layer of protection when you sign in.
- Recovery codes -- Backup codes you can use if you lose access to your two-factor method.
Tip: We recommend turning on two-factor authentication. It only takes a minute and makes your account much more secure.
Updating Your Profile Information
- Go to your account portal.
- Click the Profile tab.
- Change the information you want to update.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Account Portal vs. Site Dashboard
These are two different places, and it's helpful to understand the difference.
Account Portal -- This is where you manage your overall account. Think of it as the big picture view. From here, you manage:
- Your personal profile
- All of your websites
- Your usage and billing
- Your account security
Site Dashboard -- This is where you manage one specific website. When you open a site's dashboard, you can:
- Add and edit content
- Change the design and layout
- Adjust settings for that site
In short: the account portal is about your account. A site dashboard is about one website.
Tip: You can always get back to your account portal by clicking your name or email address in the top-right corner of any page.
